You’re about to see a lot of cake.

Impressive, abundant creations filled the treat tables at my daughter’s school Halloween carnival this past weekend. Kids and their parents donated homemade cookies, brownies, and mostly cupcakes to help raise money for the school. It was a spectacular display of competitive baking. Just see for yourself.

A FIRST GRADER made this:

 

 

And I made these sugar cookies with buttercream frosting, along with a couple dozen brownies. The competition for “most creative” cupcake was too intense, so I decided not to compete. At all.
